Chapter 290 - 289: Prophecy

Chapter 290 - 289: Prophecy

The Devouring Ghost Demon Clan and the Ghost Demon Clan were mortal enemies. The former preyed upon the latter, and if a Devouring Ghost Demon consumed enough members of the Ghost Demon Clan, it could even evolve.

The Ghost Demon Clan naturally hated the Devouring Ghost Demon Clan down to their very bones. Whenever the two sides met, they would fight to the death and would almost never fight as allies.

The only time the Ghost Demon Clan and the Devouring Ghost Demon Clan would fight alongside each other was if they were both slaves to some Great Power from the Void Demon Realm, unable to defy that Great Power’s commands.

However, the Human Race’s Three Great Empires were also constantly scheming against one another, each with its own ulterior motives. Within these Three Great Empires, there were also numerous conflicts and countless problems. Under these circumstances, the Blue Star Human Clan did have a chance of victory, but the odds were not great.

If that were not the case, Shu Feng would not have paid such a huge price for the chance to hole up in the Mire Dragon Territory. Nor would he have spent a fortune to purchase a Level 1 Spiritual Ability Tower.

Liu Lang hesitated for a moment before saying, "Shu Feng, I saw a fragment of your future! I don’t know when, but two Void Demon Dukes will come to hunt you down. You must be careful!"

"Two Void Demon Dukes hunting me? When? What race of Void Demon are they?"

A grave look flashed in Shu Feng’s eyes as he pressed for more information. Different races of Void Demons had different characteristics. If he knew which race they belonged to, he could devise different ways to deal with them.

"I don’t know! On the Void Demon Battlefield, my Ability is severely suppressed. I only saw two ink-black masses, experts of the Void Demon Race, hunting you."

"If we were on Blue Star, I could predict the movements of Demigod Level experts. But here, a Void Demon Duke is enough to interfere with my premonition," Liu Lang said frankly.

Although Liu Lang, with his foreknowledge ability, wasn’t a top-tier fighter, he was the most difficult to kill among the Celestial-level Spiritualists. The moment someone had the intent to kill and target him, he would foresee it. Beyond that, he could also use this Ability to choose friends he could trust.

Liu Lang was only a Great Spirit Master, but he had friends all over the world. Even among the Five Great Spirit Saints of the Qianyuan Republic, some were willing to interact with him as equals and become his friend.

After all, a single premonition at a critical moment could save the life of a Spirit Saint.

Shu Feng took out a Space Ring and handed it to Ding Xiaoxue, saying, "Xiaoxue, I have eighty-one Flame Phoenix Fruits here! If you eat them, you can gain the Phoenix Bloodline. Extending your life by a hundred years will be no problem!"

A strange light flashed in Ding Xiaoxue’s beautiful eyes. She toyed with the Space Ring and said with a half-smile, "Eighty-one Flame Phoenix Fruits! Combined, they’re equivalent to a Celestial-level Treasure of Heaven and Earth. And you’re willing to part with them?"

Shu Feng said with a solemn expression, "Of course I’m not! But compared to your life, these eighty-one Flame Phoenix Fruits are nothing."

The Holy Spear, [Void Blue Night], possessed an unfathomable power, capable of slaying a Saint in a single strike. But for every shot Ding Xiaoxue fired from this Holy Spear, she moved one step closer to death. Shu Feng didn’t want to see her die young.

"Alright! I’ll take them!"

A slight smile touched the corners of Ding Xiaoxue’s lips as she took the Space Ring in her hand.

Liu Lang raised his eyebrows slightly, chuckled, and without a word, downed a cup of wine.

The three of them chatted idly for a while longer, and then Ding Xiaoxue left with Liu Lang.

"Zhu Hao, I’ll tell you again, I don’t like you! I don’t like you! Please stop pestering me!"

As Shu Feng was walking down the street, he suddenly heard a familiar voice. Following the sound, he saw Chen Xue glaring angrily at two young men.

One of the young men was wearing a white suit. He was handsome, wore light makeup, and had the look of one of those pretty-boy pop stars. The other was dressed in casual clothes and looked rather ordinary.

A very ordinary-looking old man in simple clothes stood silently behind the pretty-boy, like an old servant.

"Chen Xue, I’m trying to be nice, so don’t be shameless. I’ve been very patient with you. Your Chen Family isn’t even a Noble Family. You’re just a girl from the Lower Class. It’s an honor that I’ve taken an interest in you. If you dare refuse me, believe it or not, I’ll destroy your entire family! I’ll see you and your mother ruined and thrown into the gutter!"

The ordinary-looking young man added with a slight smile, "Chen Xue, the man standing before you is the seventh young master of the Zhu Clan."

Chen Xue’s eyes reddened. She bit her lip, her fists clenched, and a wave of powerlessness and Despair washed over her.

The two words "Zhu Clan" weighed on Chen Xue’s heart like a great mountain, making it hard for her to breathe. The Eight Great Clans were like eight great mountains within the Qianyuan Republic. The slightest exertion of their power could crush the Chen Family.

Chen Xue gritted her teeth and said, "I’m a student at Shuijing High School. If you lay a hand on me, the school won’t just stand by and do nothing."

Zhu Hao sneered, his tone aggressive. "Even Shuijing High School’s power is nothing compared to my Zhu Clan. You’re just one of countless students there. Do you really think Shuijing High School would go to war with the Zhu Clan for you?"

"Chen Xue, I’ll give you one last chance. Kneel down and lick my shoes right now. Then, be my obedient little pet dog! If you serve me well and make me happy, maybe I’ll grant you the status of a concubine. You can forget about being my official wife. Your status is too low. Even making you my concubine would be an act of great mercy on my part. Now, kneel!"

Zhu Hao stared at Chen Xue’s indignant and unyielding face, a flicker of excitement in his eyes.

In the Zhu Clan’s territory, Zhu Hao had enjoyed countless beauties. But forcing a national idol of the Qianyuan Republic to submit in public still gave him a great thrill.

The other young man added with a slight smile, "Think about your parents and family, Chen Xue! You can’t be so selfish!!"

At the thought of her parents, Chen Xue’s eyes reddened again. Her knees buckled, and with a look of utter humiliation, she slowly began to kneel.

"Ah Xue, we meet again."

Shu Feng’s voice came from behind Chen Xue. A large hand pressed down on her shoulder, and a tremendous Power flowed through her, making her stand up straight.

"Shu Feng, it’s you!!"

Chen Xue turned around and saw Shu Feng, a look of ecstatic joy flashing in her beautiful eyes.

Zhu Hao glanced at Shu Feng, a violent glint in his eyes as he said coldly, "Brat, get lost!! Or else I’ll break all three of your legs!"

Shu Feng sneered and said coldly, "You little bastard. Kneel, kowtow, and apologize right now, and I’ll spare you this once. Otherwise, I’ll be the one breaking your three legs!!"

A vicious grin spread across Zhu Hao’s face as he ordered, "Ah Fu, go break all three of that ant’s legs!! No, I’ve changed my mind. Snap all four of his limbs for me. I’m going to have him dragged out and fed to the dogs!"
